We'll it seems as if Raimi is in Evil Dead Form with this-1. Right now it's getting good reviews from RT. (95%) Looks like I will be on my way to theaters again this weekend...

The previews make it look interesting. A good horror rather than a horror for shock value.
But, the plot...seriously, the plot is horrible. They've shown the plot preview only once on my television screen and it's one of those deals where you tell a kid, "Hey, something bad is going to happen to this girl, ok? It's going to be crazy. She's going to be chased by demons, and a scary old woman is going to curse her, and she's going to be dragged to hell. Now, what do you think should cause all of this to happen?"
Kid looks around for a few seconds and then says, "She makes the old lady angry?"
Then the writer takes a group of kids and asks them to jot down ideas on what would make an old woman angry.
One kid says: She lost her teeth.
Second kid says: She is about to die.
Third kid says: Her grandson forgot her birthday.
Fourth kid says: She is forced out of her home.
Writer grabs the fourth kid and asks him, "What did you just say?"
Kid, nearly scared, but feeling somewhat heroic screams out, "She is forced out of her home! She doesn't want to move. She's old and mean. And the girl can't help her so she curses her! And now the girl is going to hell."
Writer sits down, wipes hand over his brow, then smiles. "Genius. Seriously - I know Raimi was good with the Evil Dead series...but I am shocked this is getting good ratings on RT because the previews have made it look nothing short of terrible.Comment
