Crazy. He's an actor that I try to catch all his movies, so it's disappointing that he's retiring. I was impressed with his singing skills in Walk the Line, I wonder what style of music he plans on pursuing.

He can do whatever he wants, but now I'll just lump him in with all of those other dumb actors who want to be rock stars...
The line must be drawn HERE! This far, no further!

He's probably made more money than he'll ever spend, so he might as well do what he wants to do to keep busy/entertained.

I will agree... Give me an over/under on 3 years, and I'll take the under.

Still a shame though, I think he's a fantastic actor.

Whenever you see a famous person's name and then age... I always expect 'dead' in between those two.

                Thank goodness for that.

Good luck my man, good luck.

How do you "retire" from acting? I don't really even consider that a job.

Didn't Hugh Grant pull the same stunt a few years back and ended up making more movies within a year than he ever did. Same thing here. Actors are used to a certain lifestyle from thier career riches whcih constitutes memorizing lines for an easy paycheque for most big stars. As soon as he realizes he's taking an income dip he will start the great comeback. 3 years is pushing it, I give him 18 months.

Doing something that makes you money seems like a job to me.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
