Movie scenes that you can't bear to watch

In Saving Private Ryan, there is a scene where two american soldiers are trapped in a house and ambushed by german troops. One is shot in the neck and is slowly dying while the other is in a fight for his life and with a soldier and is about to be killed by getting stabbed. He is screaming for help. Help is there but the guy is too scared to join in.

This scene gets me SOOO ANGRY! Whenever I see it I watch up to this point get very mad and stop watching. The reason I lose it at that scene is the fact he could have helped those guys but ended up letting them die for the simple fact of cowardice. AAARRGGHH that scene just riles me up.

Now I have never been in a war and fear can play a huge roal in your actions and fear can be a good thing. However those guys are your family out there watching your back, you can't just let them get it like that and let it happend.

If you've never watched past that...you miss a very telling scene later in the movie.
    Very good film IMO.

I remember when I was little and Home Alone came on. I could never watch the part where they walked on all the broken ornaments.

Another is Arachnaphobia(spell???), I HATE spiders so all of that movie had me looking away.

        Ding Ding Ding.

Also the OP had a good one in that Saving Private Ryan scene. Especially when he's slowly getting stabbed.

Dane Cook dropping his drawers at a wedding in My Best Friend's Girl. Many scenes in this movie meet the thread's criteria. Why do I allow myself to be dragged along to this garbage?

I've never fully kept my eyes glued on the screen when the tape plays in The Ring.

I had a hard time keeping still in theaters for the surgery scene in Saw III, and same on the couch for the castration scene in Hard Candy.

Any scene that has needles being injected into the human body, other than that it's all good.

The castration scene in I Spit On Your Grave, the rape-revenge movie of the late 70's. I actually gagged when I first saw it, and upon a rewind replay brought forth by a morbid fascination I never saw it again. It literally made me sick. For the record I saw the movie years later on video tape-sometime in the 80's.

Same here, especially when they show it close up or if it's a fast injection, I have turn my head for the scene.

The curb stomp scene in American History X is pretty hard to watch.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Ahh yes, I forgot to mention when Norton rips Elliot Gould to bits in the B&W scene in that movie, plus the following bit of dialogue by the mother. It's just plain hard to listen to.

Yes I have seen the whole movie and love it but when I try to watch it again and enjoy I can't because of that scene. I get soo frustrated by it ruins the rest of the movie.

Just going in a completely different direction, I can't watch some of the scenes at the end of The Notebook again. They just remind me too much of my aunt's situation when she was dying of brain cancer and its just too damn much for me to handle

I can't watch the scene in Misery when she breaks his ankles. I can't imagine having that done to me.
