Roger Linus - "Workman," is Ben's dad. Ben killed his dad in the van with the gas. Same van Hurley and company found a few seasons back.

 The tag only said Workman.

You mean the same van that Jack and the other Losties were driving around in last night?Roger Linus - "Workman," is Ben's dad. Ben killed his dad in the van with the gas. Same van Hurley and company found a few seasons back.

 http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Roger_Linus
Is there only ONE VW Van the Dharma people use????

Look, just to make it 100% crystal clear, I saw that episode when Hurley found the van and they found the skeleton with "Workman" on the coveralls.
And we all saw the backstory making us believe that it was Ben's dad that was the corpse.
Chances are good that it really was Ben's dad. But how does anyone here know for sure???

Last night they zeroed in on the patch reading "WORKMAN". Was it necessary when Jack was verbally told he was to be a janitor??? Probably not.
All I'm saying is that it's within the realm of possibilities.

How come everyone can accept a black-smoke, time-correcting monster and an island floating through space and time, and yet nobody can even fathom the idea that the corpse found in the jungle in 2007 might actually be Jack's corpse from his visit in 1977.
Not one person here can say that it's not with 100% certainty.

If anyone here has seen more than 2 episodes of "LOST" they should know that you shouldn't believe everything that you see.Last edited by Money99; 03-19-2009, 02:22 PM.Comment

Re: *** LOST: Season 5 Discussion***

Maybe he does. Wasn't there a mention of a "list" that the Others had in Season 2 that contained the names of the important crash survivors? Perhaps Ben already knew who they were...because he had already met them 30 years earlier?Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. That's exactly what I was thinking when the Dharma group was looking at their 'files'.
However, something must have changed because there doesn't appear to be any mention of Jack having any medical background in his 1977 portfolio.
 But you never know.Comment

Re: *** LOST: Season 5 Discussion***

Well they made it appear that Ben had been routinely leaving the island when they found his stash of passports, etc. so he could have obtained info on alot of people. Look how they conned Juliet., they knew everything about her.

The thing that gets confusing is that the crash in 2004 happened before the jumpback to 1977. So the chronology of the whole thing is skewed. And this is where I have a problem grasping if its a loop or 2 different universes.

So in 2004 plane crashes. A bunch of stuff happens and boom they are back to 1977. This has to be a different track now right? Because in theory Sawyer could be content to let things run their course now as a Dharma member and stay on the island and drink beer all day. 2004 comes around and Sawyer is no longer on that plane. Its almost like that island is the center of the known universe. Whatever time it says it is, it is. And anything that is happening outside of that time is in its own universe altogether.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

^^^Good looking out guys. If it would have just said Workman, I would have thought Money was correct.

I bet he gets to have some interesting conversations with Ben's dad though.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

For someone who has "seen more than 2 episodes of lost" and saw the episode where hurley found the body, you should definitely remember that for a while after hurley found the body he was calling him roger workman and then sawyer corrected him sating thats his job you idiot.Comment

Supposedly it's Miles all because Daniel asked him had he ever been on the island before, and Miles gave this dumbfounded look like he has been here.Comment

So, how do you all think Ben, Locke, etc...will get back to 1977? Do you think they'll have to do the whole moving the island thing again until they all meet in time?Highheat's O's Franchise
