          Looks more disturbing than scary.

          When I watched the previews, most people in the theater stood silent for moments. I think it got to them.

                              Just looks stupid to me. Saw the preview in the theater, and it just wasn't scary at all. It just looked like another horror movie with twisted up bodies, and generic special effects.

                              I mean, really - a guy on the stairs with his body all contorted, and his head tilted sidways... Gee, I've never seen that before... Or a creepy young child in makeup; never seen that angle before... There's just no originality left in these movies anymore. They just keep doing the same thing over and over again.

                              They're relying way too much these days on creepy images, and not putting enough into the real story. I mean, the reason King books are great is because there's a great story - and the movies that worked out for him are the ones that focused really on the story, as opposed to the imagery.

                              Horror movies these days are simply not scary.

                              edit: and as the person above me pointed out, Megan Fox isn't in this movie.
