    40 something here.
I saw the first Dio tour with Sabbath. "Black and Blue" tour since they played with Blue Oyster Cult.
    Ozzy's first solo tour.
    Judas Priest.
Loved the metal, but the best rock concert/show I ever saw was Pink Floyd, The Wall.

Preist and Sabbath put on wild stage shows, but AC/DC just came out with nothing but a wall speakers and just blew the roof off the place.
I do regret never seeing my favorite, Iron Maiden.

I saw Maiden in 88' at the New Haven Coliseum with Yngwie Malmsteen opening up for them. Great show but I wish I saw them sooner.

I just saw Metallica last week and they still kick ***. Played for 2 hours.

The Sword opened and man, they blew me away. Very heavy. Down (with Anselmo and Rex from Pantera) also played and were solid.

I'll also admit to being a fan of the 80's Hair Metal scene and have seen Poison, Winger and Cinderella in concert.

Slayer and Iron Maiden, enough said! Also, I used to go to the Day on the greens all the time. They had it at where the A's play and it was FREAKING AMAZING!

Former head bangers? B.S. AA, no such thing. Metal chooses you, you don't choose it. And no matter how much money you make or where you go in life, you'll always be a head banger. It's not an age thing. I'm almost 40 and am not much different than I was back then. My 3 year old son will be carrying the torch. He already loves football, crashing cars, and metal, and he's BIG!

My first concert was 1984 Ozzy and Motley Crue on the Bark at the Moon/Shout at the Devil Tour. From there it was countless shows at the Aragon Ballroom (we called it the brawlroom), Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, too many to mention.

These days I don't find as many good metal bands, but I know they're out there. I was really into Lamb of God but they actually seem like they're getting soft. Too soft for a 38 year old!

Saw that show tonight and it certainly kicked ***. My ears still ringing from it actually and it ended 6 hours ago.

After seeing the energy Anselmo had tonight, I would've killed to see him with Pantera in their prime. I bet the shows they put on were absolutely insane.

It was really cool that he actually mentioned Pantera (or Pan****ingtera as he put it) as well as Dimebag.
