Anyone have wildblue internet through direct TV???

Just wondering how reliable it is.
My new town only has internet through the electric company, and it cost $100 for the antenna, then $350 for the installation of the equipment (which cant be done by me for some reason) Thats close to $500 before the monthly bill of $40.

Wildblue is only $99 before the monthly bill of $50. Alot cheaper.
So, just wondering if anyone on the boards has it, and can give thier opinion on it.

Having said that, one poster(installprosat) who actually installs Wildblue gives some good advise. Be sure to check out his post.

yuck- that sucks.
Oh well. Looks like dial up connection for me.
How the hell do you even set up a dial up connection??
I know I just run a phone line from the wall to pc modem, but then what do I have to do?? How would internet explorer or firefox work??

It's been such a long time, I forget the last time I had dial up. My guess would be sometime in 2001.
