    Any musical acts like this?

Hey guys, I was listening to Muse in my car today and it got me thinking if there are any bands that pretty much take classical sounding music (piano, violin) and use rock/metal tones with it.

In case you're unclear, let this load and go to around 2:55. Starting there, there's a rock/piano-type solo. I find it to be pretty damn awesome. Even if it's a band doing rock covers like this of pre-existing classical compositions, that would be cool too.

    Any help would be great.

A Perfect Circle did it some on their first album. Not exactly the same, but some violins in with the rock and roll.

You might try having Pandora.com generate a playlist based on that song and see what you come up with.

      Great song, btw.

Good idea, man. I use Pandora for artists, and tried making one for Muse. Didn't even remember that you can use it for songs too.

Not really the same thing but they combine lots of pianos with rock and are completely instrumental. One of my favorite bands ever and some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. God is an Astronaut. You'd be doing yourself a huge favor by finding all their albums, at least in my opinion.

Really, there's alot of post rock bands that could fill your needs, Mogwai comes to mind.
