Along with plugging a FM transmitter into the ipod, they have a cable that plugs into where the ipod headphones go and the other end is a casette tape. I prefer the 2nd one as around here the radio stations are weak already and during rain it cuts out more.Aaron

It's a very stable piece of equipment, too... looks very expensive. But I'm disappointed that, while on the road, it simply doesn't work all of the time.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: IPod in the car?
Called TuneBase FM by Belkin. I had one of these for awhile. Was good, but FM Transmitter can be difficult depending on City you are in and what not.
If you have a Cassette deck I recommend just buying a cassette cd player adapter and plugging it into the headset jack.
Also if you car has an auxiliary port on the front or back of the car stereo, you can use that normally as well.
I recently upgraded my car stereo to a Pioneer with Ipod Control. It's great. I keep my Ipod in the glove box locked up, but can scroll all the songs/titles through the stereo. It's like having a personal music hard drive in your car.
Obviously that is the more expensive route, but the TuneBase should work fine.Comment

I've got an 80gb iPod and it's awesome having my whole music collection right at my fingertips in the car.
Doesn't have to cost that much either... for a basic iPod control deck, it's probably only an extra $50 than a decent FM transmitter.Comment

Re: IPod in the car?
Simp I agree.
What's also nice is it really helped the range of my factory speakers. I had the premium sound system in the Hyundai, but now I can get some good bass that was missing before from the same speakers.
And the best part is I'm not overpowering the speakers at all. They sound about 10x better than I thought they ever could with the factory stereo.Comment
