Closest match up so far for me, but I chose SPR.

Ouch, I prefer Alien over Aliens, but both are great flicks.

That being said, Saving Private Ryan is something special, a truly remarkable experience when I saw it in the theater opening weekend, one that will forever stick with me.

"That's it man. Game over." Though my vote is for SPR.

I love 'em both but.... Aliens is just more entertaining for me.

Private Ryan...the opening scene was twenty harrowing minutes I'll never forget, renewing my interest in WWII and wondering how the hell anyone was able to do what those men did. I know I couldn't do it, not then, not now, not ever.

I love war movies, but Saving Private Ryan lost steam for me bewteen its great opening and its mostly great conclusion. Alien is definitely better than Aliens, but both are great and both are better than SPR.

                      Aliens

Saving Private Ryan - Overrated, just like most SS films. Not even in the top 20 as far as war flicks.

I would have voted Alien over SPR, but not Aliens (although it was a good movie)

No brainer. I really dislike science fiction movies and I'm a huge Tom Hanks fan, and SPR is one of his better flicks.

You may say it's overrated but I'll take the opinions of the men that actually fought in WWII as I saw them weeping in the theater when they showed in on base.

Surely it is not the only film to invoke such emotion in men.
