I personally use Zone Alarm free.. some other good ones are Online Armor Free, Comodo Free, and PC Tools Firewall Free..

I've tried them all - can't go wrong with any of those

If you are behind a router such as Linksys, Dlink, etc you don't need a software firewall.

i used zone alarm for the longest time, but it was heavy on the system resources. now i use online armor and love it. i haven't had a problem since installing it.

I had been using Zone Alarm, hated it, now I'm using Comodo and it's okay but not great. It can be a resource hog from time to time.

I trust Windows Firewall to do its job. Plus, I'm behind a router.

People don't really need firewalls anyway as long as you go through the internet wisely.
