1 was the best, 2 was a great follow up, 3 and 4 had their cringe moments, but still pretty decent.. 5 never existed..

and to finish the series with Rocky Balboa - pretty good..

De Niro was amazing in Raging Bull. That whole film was pretty badass.

Btw, I vote for not having the results hidden. I am guessing Rocky wins more so because many more people have seen Rocky than Raging Bull.

This is so wrong on so many levels to put these two up against each other.

The Rocky movies have been completely inspirational to my childhood, but Raging Bull is one of the best movies of all-time.

How the hell can Raging Bull be a 13 seed??? That's like making the Tar Heels a 13 seed in the tourney.

Based on the initial poll which presented a long list of movies. OSers could pick as many movies from these lists if they deemed them Top 100 Worthy. Rocky had a positive rating of 44%, Raging Bull 23%.

Rocky is the most lauded fictional sports figure in history. But the fight scenes were overly dramatized and I guess an early form of stylized violence. Raging Bull was an authentic look into a real athletes life. DeNiro also actually got in shape and out of shape naturally for this role. There were no prosthetics on his body.

By the way, it says a lot about this city that our sports icon is Rocky....who loses.

Rocky should have been based out of Cleveland then.
