    Little House On The Prairie

Do you remember that show? I used to watch it as a kid in the mid 80's, but that show really started in the mid 70's.

Here's the opening and ending themes (can't embed):

As a kid it always looked to me as a serious TV show and I felt like I was too young for it, which was true. But today I really appreciate the quality of this show, with great actors that some of them are no longer with us.

Watched the show a few times, but it never grabbed me. I wasn't a huge fan of the similar The Waltons either.

The only Michael Landon show I kinda liked was Highway to Heaven. Little House was okay and it really was the grandfather of all those preachy religious themed dramas that seemed to be popular in the mid '90s.

I liked The Waltons a lot more - I could never get into Little House the show, but I really enjoyed the books as kid.

My wholesomeness fix was Leave It To Beaver. Highly moral, but nobody had to cope with anything too serious, like death for example.

I remember it. I watched it and enjoyed it when I did, but it wasn't because I really wanted to. We didn't have cable, and my sister liked it a lot, I really had no choice to but to watch it or go outside in the hot sun. More often than not, it was the sun, but when I stayed in and watched, I enjoyed it. I like the whole thing between Nelly and Laura, had a big crush on Nelly too.

I do remember Merlin Olsen on it. Seemed like he was a decent actor.

Our family watched it every week as well as wjhen the Waltons were on. I miss those days early in my life when the family sat for a while together and watched these shows.
