    Re: Angels & Demons

i'm actually looking forward to this movie...i, too, read both books and enjoyed A&D much more. funny thing, is i'm a devout christian and i'm not really offended by his books. i don't agree with the "theology" aspect, but i enjoy mysteries. i'm hoping this movie will do better than DVC, as i found the acting stiff and the story line a bit disjointed...

One of the worst Tom Hanks movies ever. I can see how it would be good as a book though.

I thought I was watching National Treasure 3.

Damn, now you got me nervous about going to see it. What was so bad about it? Did you enjoy The Divinci Code?

              I thought DV was alright.

This one felt a lot like National Treasure(movie which I LOVE). That is not what I wanted from this movie though. Just the way he would figure out riddles and clues was identical to Nicholas Cage's acting.

If you were actually looking forward to this movie you will probably like it. But I would go ahead and see Star Trek or something over this if you were trying to decide between the two.

my wife and i went friday...we both enjoyed it. it's hard cramming a lot of history into a movie, but the story moved along at a pretty brisk pace. this movie has to be watched from a bit different perspective because of the amount of information that has to be given to the viewer. but i enjoyed the book and also liked the movie, and i'll definitely buy this when it comes out on DVD.

i'd recommend any of you fence-sitters to give it a look for yourself...everyone has different tastes.

I enjoyed the Da Vinci Code book but I thought the movie sucked. I get the feeling this will bet he same but I'll check it out on DVD whenever it drops.

They completely wrecked the story IMO.

It was almost entirely different then the book (aside from the main plot). Important parts were left out of the movie that were in the book.

I also think Hanks did worse in this one then he did in TDC (although I never liked Hanks cast as Langdon to begin with).

Yeah if you never read the book you don't know how bad Ron Howard messed up the story line from the book.

After reading both books and seeing TDC I'll pass on Angels & Demons, especially after someone compared it to National Treasure.

I was very disappointed with the DaVinci code movie. The book wasn't that great either after having read Angels and Demons first. So I have little hopes for this movie.
