He plays himself in a bank-heist, crime comedy-drama. The way it jumped between the two genres reminded me of Inside Man. He even gives a teary-eyed, 6+ minute monologue where you will either come to respect him or think he's phony as hell.

Jean-Claude Van Damme
Everyone who thinks Bloodsport is his defining movie or even bothered to watch any of his films at all should watch JCVD.

Re: Jean-Claude Van Damme
Ehh, Bloodsport is still the defining movie. JCVD isn't bad at all and its a swerve from the cheapo flicks he's been doing. The situation re: agents and film selection presented in JCVD did give some perspective to how his career has gone. I've always been a fan since I first saw bloodsport & kickboxer so I give him the benefit of the doubt everytime.
AFAIK its out but I think theres an English dub in the pipeline.Comment

Re: Jean-Claude Van Damme
I think i'll have to look for this movie. I've heard about it and there's nothing better then seeing a star/washed up star poking fun at his image. It also seems like this movie is partly biographical in detailing some of the mistakes he's made.
Anyways, I loved Bloodsport and he was also pretty good that movie where he plays twins. I forget the name. Anywho, i'll look for this.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Loved Bloodsport. Kickboxer wasn't too bad. Tong Po anyone? I still laugh when in Bloodsport they have the flashbacks of when he was a kid. Some goofy kid played him wearing a SF Giants hat and a NY football Giants hockey jersey or something. Great flick!MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames
