Ok ? If I have the hdmi input on my 360 console but not on my tv is there anything I can do to get hdmi. I've been asking stores but they are really unsure. I have even ran across a hdmi dvd player if that helps? Thanks

If your TV has the R-G-B composite inputs...that'll get you hi-def. That's the way my 1080i cable signal comes in for the hi-def. channels. As long as your TV recognizes a 1080p signal coming in from the XBox..... I don't know why it wouldn't work.

But I'm trying to get the best pic possible and I want hdmi hooked from my 360 to my tv but there no inputs for it. Any suggestions. Do I need any thing special to hook this up?

You said your TV doesn't have HDMI inputs, you will not be able to get an HDMI connection, end of story. Component will look very nice though.

note, these are not v1.3. i dunno what that means tho.

version 1.3 supports a wider bandwidth that allows for deeper colours and a more vivid and sharper picture. It's akin to a firmware update for hidef transmissions.

xrob.... u never said what type of inputs for your TV you had. If it's an older model, you might be able to at least go S-Video, which is better than nothing.

I have the red blue green yellow and white inputs. But I have the 360 av cables already will I get a better pic if I got a different set of cables.

That's a component connection, you will get a much better picture, almost as good as HDMI.

Right, R-G-B is component. And it will look good. Make sure you don't have to switch something over on your TV menu settings and make sure on your 360 cord you switch it to HDTV. My cable signal comes into my TV via RGB as 1080i is about the highest you can get from a cable signal is my understanding. No reason to think you won't have a great picture.

1.3 allows for improvements that are not even implemented yet.
There is no current format or standard using 1.3 over previous versions.
Long story short,1.3 provides some future proofing but no current benefit.

Correct;no satellite or cable co. in the US transmits in 1080p.
Component can carry all formats up to 1080p,although some devices will not allow 1080p to be carried due to copyright protection measures.

In many set-ups,component may even be preferable to HDMI for HD viewing;the cable boxes used in my city consistently look better to me over component with slightly better deep black and color saturation.
