Unforgiven in my book.

I really enjoyed Departed, don't get me wrong, but I'm a sucker for great western movies.

Unforgiven's All-Star cast is on the same level as The Departed's set in the West, not Boston.

Regardless of ranking this is an upset. And I cant help but to feel its due more to Departeds release date.

Welcome to the nature of this poll.

This isn't the first time and it won't be the last it'll happen.

However, The Departed is a better film than Unforgiven in my opinion. You have to take into account that, as a genre, westerns appeal to a certain group of people especially when going up against an overtly violent movie like The Departed and the opinions of the mostly younger OS crowd.

Yeah I know its the nature of any polling like this, whatevers resonating in peoples minds is going to get the most 'play'.

Id say Unforgiven is the way more violent movie, and not liking westerns? thats just un-American.
