It also made me realize that, hey, the President has to leave the Oval Office and go to his bedroom to sleep. Just never really thought of those things.
Yea, the West Wing is just where the offices are. The Presidential apartments are located a little bit away from it. West Wing spared no detail.

It makes me sad to watch 1600 on NBC now when I look back at West Wing and just how good it was.

BTW, I'm surprised how none of these guys ever made it big, other than Rob Lowe who was actually supposed to be the star of the show, and he never really "made it big" either.

I figured Bradley Whitford would strike it big somewhere. Josh Lyman is one of my favorite characters of all time, along with Ron Silver's Bruno.

He was part of a couple failed shows I think, hard to see him as anything but Josh.

I Might have to give this show another shot, like I thankfully gave Arrested Development.

I watch it on Netflix here and there. I was a bit young for it when it came on and mostly watched sports, but now that I'm into TV shows, I enjoy watching it here and there.

Same here. I thought he was very good in Studio 60 as well. It's a shame that show never got past the first season. It was a nice mix of Sports Night and West Wing IMO.

As for The West Wing itself, there were very few characters that I didn't appreciate, which is rare for me (I did get a bit sick of Toby towards the end though). It was just a great cast overall.

I think everyone was tired of Toby near the end and I was glad when **** hit the fan with him in season 7.

Yeah, unless you are a political junkie, watching a bunch of the episodes in a row may make you sick of it. Catching it in bursts really helps you appreciate the beauty of that show. Its amazing how hard NBC has fallen since they had that glory run in the 90s and early 2000s with West Wing, Seinfeld, Friends and others. Honestly, I don't watch anything on NBC but Meet the Press and Sunday Night Football now. Its sad for me, because NBC was huge part of my teenage years tv watching and now I can barely stomach it.

Now you have to pay 15 bucks a month to catch HBO and all the great shows they have now, versus how great on-air tv used to be.

                      Good call.

Actually, he and Elizabeth Moss are the two biggest stars from the show.

A certain "Blonde Republican Sex Kitten" went from West Wing to 230+ episodes of CSI: Miami

She wasn't as unknown as Dule Hill, but Emily Procter has done pretty well for herself since.

Mary Louise Parker, Lisa Edelstein, they seemed to have done well as well.

Good show. I"ve watched the first three episodes. Cuddy (Edelstein) was really hot back then.

The most annoying (And worthless character, IMO) is Mandy.

I was surprised to learn that Allison Janney never won an Emmy or Golden Globe.
