I do some indi film-making here and there. I've shot a bunch of footage on a PanasonicHD proffessional quality camera (a couple of years ago it retailed for 12K) that records on P2 cards. I copied the data on an external HD.
From what I understand, I need to pipe the data through a card reader. Is that correct? Are there places that have readers and would let me see it? I do not own a mac and I do not have a bunch of money either. Is there a way I can finally see my movie? Ideally I'd like to put it on writeable dvd's or something like that, and also compress some of it to avi,mpeg formate to have on the web too. I feel stuck since I feel like I will never be able to do anything with this footage. It looked great at the time, through playback on the camera and would be great for my reel.
