Hackers
Last night I think someone might have hacked my computer. My browser froze up and my virus scan kept saying that trojans were showing up. Luckily it removed them a blocked any more from going in and I shut down and re started and ran a virus scan which came clean and there was nothing strange since then. Did I have a hacker? If so will I have any future problems?Last edited by RAZRr1275; 12-21-2008, 12:19 PM.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Tags: None -

Re: Hackers
I thought this was going to be about the movie Hackers. I used to love watching that joint back in the day. I need to pop it in the DVD player one of these days.

I mean, if your AV is telling you that you have trojans, then you probably have some trojans; which likely came off a website. I'm sure you've been hacked at some point, but I doubt this was one of those times.Comment

Re: Computer Hackers
I know. I just think it's kind of odd because unless I was hacked and someone was installing them I got them from OS because that's the only site that I was on when they were installed. My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: Computer Hackers
It's quite possible it came from here. Some pretty big sites get targeted. I remember the Bethesda forums once getting hacked, and anyone using a certain theme (the tan one) ended up getting infected with some trojans and what have you.
I don't know if you run no-script and firefox, or not, but I would heavily suggest you do. It's a life-saver; but even then, some legit sites do sometimes get malicious code thrown into them. I wouldn't doubt if some of their ads have questionable content in them - they don't even seem to look at what they're advertising unless someone brings it up to them.Comment
