Re: Over-The-Air HD Locals with DirecTV?
By the way, thanks for posting this. I got an antenna, and I got it up and working - and I get a few channels in HD now. So we're watching the Vikings playoff game in HD, and right now is some college football game. I don't care about college football at all, but I'm just watching it in amazement of how blurry the regular digital cable signal looks when I switch back to it.Comment

Re: Over-The-Air HD Locals with DirecTV?
You really didnt HAVE to buy a special antenna. I use plain jane $15 rabbit years from Wal Mart and I get every channel just fine. I only live 30 miles away from where the antenna hub is though so that helps.
Use that, put in your address and find the exact location on the map once it comes up. It will tell you exactly where to point your antenna for optimal signal. The only bad thing is right now some station have their digital antenna only on half power to save on energy cost, but come Feb 17 everything will be at %100 full power and you signal bar should go all the way up.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 01-01-2009, 03:35 PM.Comment

Re: Over-The-Air HD Locals with DirecTV?
From what i understand any antenna can pull in HD signals.
Try this out if you like, and since you have that build in HD-tuner in your tv you won't have to buy any converter box.Comment
