I don't notice it running that hot so far but I'll keep an eye on it. I never get the extended warranty....the art of learning how to complain to the right people can gain you an extended warranty through the manufacturer if your willing to do the leg work.
I always just take the manufacturers warranty (1 yr usually), and Sony has been good with my stuff, my 60 gig bricked and was fixed and came back like new in about 10 days.
I'm not worried but thanks for the insider info.
I always thought the PS3 and blu-rays looked sick on my SDTV now that I have an HDTV man is it disgusting. Even most games tat only run at 720p are soo rediculous looking.
