    Computer won't boot? WTF

My game computer has been acting funny for a while now. It gets to the "Welcome to Windows" screen, and a few moments before you would usually select your account and password, the screen goes black and reboots after a while. I can't enter safe mode, Last Known Good Config, or VGA mode on this system, as I experience the same symptoms. I replaced the video card, mobo, and hard disks. I will try a new stick of ram tonight. If that doesn't work, what do you guys think could be the problem?

    Specs:
    Amd 64 x2 4400+
    MSI Ati Radeon HD4850
    Seagate 'Cuda 7200.10 250GB
    1gb Corsair ValueSelect
    400w Forton PSU
Eagles, 76ers, Phillies, Arsenal FC, Wildcats, Vols

same thing happened to me. This poster, Mudtiger on these boards was great help to me, but everything we tried didnt work. I think its some sort of virus; which eventually forced me to purchase a new computer.

Your symptoms seem to be exactly what I had. I'll post my thread when I find it to show you.

Sounds like a power supply issue.

Either this or its a heat issue where the Bios has a setting to shut down after it reaches a limit. You could take the power supply to a local shop to get a voltage reading on the power supply

YES! Finally got it to work. I guess the old mobo was the problem, and I just had to reinstall Windows again to get it going. Thank got for RMAs.

Alright, I have my old HD in after getting everything setup on the new one. Is there anyway I can transfer the installed programs from the old one to the new one? Or do I have to install everything all over again? I assume not, I haven't done this in a while

You have to install everything over again.
