Help me find a book.

When I was a kid, my aunt bought me a series of books that while I enjoyed I have forgotten the name of over the years.

The books were fantasy, the protagonists were I believe a 16-22 year old blond white male and a younger white male, around 8-14. I think there was a girl somewhere in there.

They drove these weird all terrain vehicles, the vehicles were really grungy looking, great things to draw. A lot of spikes and fur, almost animalistic (or maybe plant like) and loaded with weapons. I don't remember the villains but I know they had their own all terrain vehicles.

The world they lived in was something like the world of Thundarr the Barbarian, prehistoric with technology. Think He-Man meets Mad Max.

The books were hard cover. I guess they were suitable for ages 8-14, I believe I got them when I was around 9 or maybe 10 (this was late 80's). "Terra" something or other might have been in the name.

So with the little description I have given, can anyone help me out with the name? These are something I would like to have in my possession again. Maybe something to get my son for his birthday next month.

Damn man, I am lost. I also have a book I would love to remember. As a kid in school I rememe reading book about a boy who shrinks down to like a minature soldier or someting and his nanny was involved in some way. I also remember as punish,ent he was forced to watch movies of bad things like his parents being hurt or something (Clockwork Orange esque). I really wanna remember the name of that book. Good thread, this can be like what google should be in 30 years, identifing what we want through a description of something.

Oh I have found something comparable to it, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors if any of you old guys remember that. The vehicles from there really remind me of the ones I remember, but again, I think the main kid was blonde and I don't think Jayce was ever made into a hard cover book. They were thin books too, nothing deep, just thin book maybe 8X10 dimensions or a little smaller. Around 30 or so pages.
