I'm like the opposite, 24 has gotten worse and worse every season and gave up half way through season 5. Used to be the one show on OS that was my most anticipated to watch due to the excitement and then the fun of the thread. It just got too ridiculous for me, never even bothred with 6 or the Redemption, and won't watch season 7.
24 is excellent!

Re: 24 is excellent!
I first saw a few episodes of 24 back when it first aired, but for some reason that I can't remember, I stopped watching. This week, Target has Seasons 1-6 for $17.99 so I have picked up the first two seasons so far. I plan to pick up the rest by Friday since this deal can't be beat.
So far, season 1 is great. I remember reading that the series is a rollercoaster ride and that around season 4 or 5 the show goes south, but gets back on track with season 6. I know I am late to the party, but can't wait to check out the rest of this series.Last edited by RoyalBoyle78; 01-05-2009, 11:11 AM.N.Y Mets

Re: 24 is excellent!
Redemption was actually pretty good, but I have a feeling that it may have been because it was only 2 hours and didn't need a "there's a mole!" and "the bad guy is secretly the vice president's assistant who's also jack's biological brother/cousin! He's also a zombie."
I'm cautiously optimistic for season 7.
-Jack saves the world
-Jack is now the biggest threat to the USA
-Jack is arrested
-Jack is released because a new threat surfaced that only he can save us from
-Mysterious character is a mole, always hired by our government
-Mole works for CTU
-Mole is found out
-Jack saves the day
-Person A who died 3 seasons ago is now alive. (i.e. Tony)
-Jack is once again wanted for crimes against the US
-President pardons Jack
-Day is safe till next season
Of course, let's not forget how Jack somehow drives from one side of LA to the other side at 5 PM on a weekday...during a commercial break.Comment

That became my problem. Every season was the same.

Anything that goes wrong in the world is the fault of someone related to Jack.Comment

Re: 24 is excellent!
I guess me and my friends are in the minority. We didn't like Seasons 1 and 2 at all. We felt the acting and characterization was much weaker than seasons 3-5. The secondary characters had much better arcs in those seasons and Jack's choices came at a nice high cost. If I had to pick one, it'd probably be season 3 overall, but seasons 3-5 are great television through and through.Comment

Re: 24 is excellent!
Just went to Target and bought Season 1,2,3, and 6. Completing my collection of the series.
All four seasons cost me a little under 80 dollars, what a great deal.Comment

I am not a fan of 24. Everyone loved it around me but I just didn't like it.Comment

Re: 24 is excellent!
I loved 1-4. I thought the show started to go downhill with season 5, but it was still decent. 6 was awful though.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
