    Wanted (Film)

Just saw this movie tonight. I thought it was pretty badass for a mindnumbing action movie. Tons of actions, pretty sweet scenes. It's not going to win any Oscars but it far exceeded my expectations.

    Anybody else see this?

    Re: Wanted (Film)

I expected something with less of the elements that made it rated R. I also expected a slightly more realistic tone for the overall movie. I don't mean when applying the laws of physics, but the entire thing with the Fraternity and the weaving machine and such just took it to a separate level that I really didn't anticipate (kind of like Bulletproof Monk or Jumper). Plus, I don't feel like Morgan Freeman fit in the movie, but whatever.

When I left the theaters, I was disappointed. I've even been disappointed since its Blu-ray release (my friend got it and I watched it again with him), and I had a chance to get it for $19.99 at Sears and walked out with Hancock instead.

However, looking back, it wasn't that bad of a movie, and I feel that it has enough replay value to watch again and again without getting too bored of it. Plus, its video/audio transfer is stellar. Chances are I'll pick it up the next chance I can find it under $20.

I've had absolutely no desire to see this movie. I understand off the wall action movies... but bending the bullet, dude?

To be fair, it actually becomes a minimal part of the entire movie. The trailers make it out to mostly be that.

The movie is sort of Max Payne-esque (the game, not the movie... well, I haven't seen the movie), where the characters "focus" to achieve what they do.

It was an average flick with cool special effect. Like the OP said it's never gonna win an oscar but it was some simple harmless escapism.

The only thing i thought was strange was they didn't give these people any magical powers or explain these extra-ordinary abilities they possess (like in Matrix) so we are just supposed to believe that people can bend bullets and drive like that because they can. At least come up with SOMETHING other than

It is based on a comic so far as the realism thing goes, that explains it.

            I thought it was alright.

I am however going to look slightly negatively on it (for a while at least) because of this:

"The film was to be the final film in the Russian trilogy that began with the infamous Night Watch, only Bekmambetov went off to shoot Wanted for Universal Pictures instead. B-d reporter BC caught up with the director to find out exactly what is going on with the project, the news isn't good... Its a big mess! I dont know what will happen with this project," he reveals to Bloody-Disgusting. "Wanted took its place. Wanted became the American version of Night Watch. So for the moment I am not doing this."

I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. Liked the action, worth a rental for sure.

I thought it was an awesome movie. I went in expecting an action movie, I got a cool action movie, I left happy. Good stuff.

Thought it was a good action flick. Same over the top stuff as Crank and Shoot Em Up. I picked it up on blu ray for $17.

They claim they have extrordinary amounts of adrenaline that they can call upon on command.

Good action movie but coulv'e left out the "yo man **** you" aspect that seemed to constantly be happenening.
