Kiss start can rock even if it is on Idol. That kid has some pipes though! I am not shock at kiss from doing Idol, but I swear that was not the real Ace. He look a lot different. He probably wouldn't do it, so they got a guy to look like him. Kiss is still a performance band. They put on a hell of a theatrical show. One of my first concert ever was a Kiss one. And it was damn good.

Fake Ace and also a fake Peter. So yeah it was cool but to me it's not really real Kiss without Ace & Peter.

Well, that will be the end of the show for me. In fact, as much as I completely despise Paula and her mouth and her drunk eye twitch look, nothing would feel the same if any of the original three left.

But if Kara were to replace Paula, it wouldn't be the end of the world and the judging would be much better. I'm just saying it wouldn't feel the same. Simon is definitely a guy worth watching the show for, though.

I originally thought a two-hour show was too long and going to be mostly filler, but damn if that wasn't a hell of a show last night. Adam singing with Kiss (fake or not) was one of the greatest things ever on the Idol stage. Never did I ever think I'd hear someone sing Heartbreaker by Zeppelin and perform with Kiss, so kudos to the amazing Adam Lambert for making both of those things happen.

Allison and Cyndi Lauper were also awesome last night, and I thought Kris's performance with Keith Urban was also really good. I could definitely see him doing that kind of music in the future and I'd much rather see him lean that way than just become another Jack Johnson or Jason Mraz.

Overall, great show and a great season. I didn't care who won because at this point they're all going to have careers, but watching Adam this season you really feel like you're watching something special take off, like you're watching a real potential superstar get their start. Here's hoping he puts an awesome band together and gives us a rockin' album.

They just can't stay out of the closet, can they?

In all seriousness, he can only help them. That's why I really like American Idol as a show in general, because no-name people that don't have connections or song writing talent can't ever get into this business that's plagued with crap artists all around (especially in the rap genre, but that's a different rant entirely). A.I. gives them that chance as they get recognized not only as a singer, but record studios get to find out a lot about them as well.

As I said, sometimes being the runner-up American Idol can have its advantages.

I picked up the Kris Allen album and I like it. The album is the kind of music I pictured Allen making when he was on AI. He wrote/co-wrote 9 of the 13 tracks. I prefer Allen's version of Heartless over Kayne's. No boundaries isn't even on the album.

I haven't checked out Adam Lambert's album yet. I thought he was awful on AI but there's still a lot of buzz around him right now.
