Love how the plane's interior took a beating as the episode continued on.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

The plane "adventure" didn't really do it for me. Jack, wife, Canada, and baby REALLY didn't do it for me.

What I'm finding with this show is that I don't necessarily care for where they are, but I love the lines that follow.

The whole idea that Jack and his wife are concerned about their child not being president some day because she'll be born in Canda is hilarious to me. Not to mention Jack's little side comment regarding how it should first make more sense to be concerned the child is a female!

And the little things like Liz being sent to her seat because the seatbelt sign flashed on.

The show is funny underneath. I think that's how I put it. The situations are all the same. Most of them redundant if you watched sitcoms all your life. But, the dialogue, the actions just show the brilliance behind Tina Fey.

It's not always funny underneath. I think that's where we differ.

The back and forth between Liz and Tracy with Tracy forced to be agreeable was hilarious (to me) including this exchange:
Liz: I hope you didn't have plans tonight.
Tracy: No. I wasn't going to buy two blimps and crash them into each other to see what kind of sound they made.

The whole Liz-Tracy was really well done, I just thought the two other "main gags" fell short.

Because of this show I have realized that I do not find Tina Fey attractive in the least. This show has basically made her as disgusting as possible and I cant separate Tina from her Character.

I can. They do try to make her as unattractive as possible. Makeup is a powerful thing.

I couldn't place her when I first saw her on Arrested Development.

But that's exactly what I'm talking about in the dialogue you quoted. That's not in your face funny. You have to get the subtext of what Tracy is saying to laugh at that joke. Otherwise, it just sounds foolish.

I absolutely love the dialogue in this show. It's what makes it so great.

I hear ya'. I'm really just saying I don't like all of what they are doing quite as much as you. I think that's what you get with absurd humor-the unpredictability of what is funny to you. Does that make sense?

By the way, I've watched every show, so we're not too far apart.

Maybe that joke went over my head but I see girls hold up their hair with those things all the time.
