    woot.com?

Anywhere have any experience with this? A friend showed it to me today. Seems like a cool idea. Anyone bought anything cool before? I'm interested to see what kind of products they sell day-to-day

    Re: woot.com?

I love Woot. They normally have various <$50 electronics, but you'll occasionally see fun toys (usually in 5 packs or something), vacuums (they love Roombas), TVs, computers, tools, etc. Really it could be anything, but they concentrate mostly on cheaper things so that you can order multiple items to give to others as gifts, etc.

I've bought 2 MP3 players from them, one was the 4 GB Sansa (refurb) that I got for $30... added a 2 GB SD card ($10 or something from TigerDirect) and I have a pretty awesome music player for ~$40.

Always read the comments section for items that you're not sure about -- they're normally filled with information and reviews on the products and people who have ordered them previously. Very helpful when you're trying to decide if buying a refurbished TV from a particular manufacturer is a good idea, etc.

I try to check it all the time, because they have "Woot-Offs" where they sell a bunch of different items for the day until they run out... you can find some great deals.

I've ordered a few things from there. The last thing was a laptop cooler thing.

woot's pretty cool. i too have ordered the refurb'ed sandisk sansa and added a 2gb micro card from tigerdirect.com. i rarely use it now but it works still. i also ordered a refurb'ed philips 1000w 5.1 home theatre system that i have connected to my 40" toshida full 1080p lcd. it has an ipod dock, upconvert dvd player, usb port on the front of said dvd player, radio etc. paid 100 bucks for it. definitely worth every penny.

i don't check the site daily like i used to but it's a good site.

          *goes to check woot*
