    Thinking about an iMac

Can any iMac users answer a question?

If I get a 20" iMac (1gb) I will upgrade the RAM myself. What is the CAS Latency on the RAM that comes with the 20" iMac?

    Thanks,

I'm not sure what CAS latency is, but if you go to www.crucial.com and put in iMac it will recommend the correct ram for you.

Thanks for the link. Crucial recommends RAM with a CAS 5 which is kinda slow. I would say average you want your RAM at CAS 3. I guess I can assume that the iMac ships with CAS 5 memory. Thanks again!

I have a 20 inch Intel Imac 2.16 (the last white one) and they're easy to put memory in, other world computing is another big mac memory seller.

Apparently there is very little difference on Macs between 3 and 5.
