    Re: PETA

This is a lame game that PETA appears to be good at. PETA knew the ad wasn't going to air, and now they get to play the banned hype card.

Yes, I'm sure you can absolutely 100% say that vegetarians have better sex.

There are no other variables there!

I can understand why they'd ban that...Personally it's not too much for me, but would you really want your 4 year old seeing that? This is the Super Bowl, not an ad during CSI late at night, you know?

Yeah, which is why PETA is so annoying. I'm very sympathetic to their cause, but they really don't know how not to be annoying, holier-than-thou, and obtrusive. Showing people videos of factory farm practices and their friendlier alternative is normally enough to get people to think about their diet choices. This is CLEARLY a scheme to float an ad that is clearly not appropriate for a national daytime TV audience to generate buzz, which is a typical PETA tactic.

If someone isn't vegetarian after seeing animals slaughtered in the most horrible ways possible, then they're probably not going to jump on that train any time soon -- harassing them and making them feel like an ******* is just going to make them hate you even if they would've been sympathetic to the cause itself.

That's just it. It was probably never considered, so ipsofacto, it's not banned. But they'll tell you it was. Play the sympathy card. Why?

Because PETA people are, as a rule, how you say..... f'd up.
