I'm not sure if this makes you feel better or worse, but I'm partially not voting for it for that reason, and partially not voting for it to annoy you. It's about 50/50, I'd say.

I think TDK is a very good film, but it shouldn't have won against ESB imo.

I went with TDK. I don't think its the GOAT (I'm not sure why there's so much unprovoked animosity toward it still), but Goodfellas has never really struck me as being an overly great film. Maybe I'm biased because Joe Pesci's characters annoys the **** outta me.

And Fresh Tendrils, it's not unprovoked animosity. It's just that this movie has outlasted so many other fine, memorable, groundbreaking, and teachable films in this tourney and the fact that for whatever reason everyone sees it as the GOAT (and yes, I hate that term as well). It was a good film, but it wasn't the best. I've seen better action movies, better suspense, better thrillers [pick the genre], and, well, generally better films.

There is a BIG difference between most of us saying it's our favorite movie and acting like we are saying it is the "GOAT."

And saying "I'll be so ******* pissed" definitely sounds like unprovoked animosity. It's an internet poll, there's no reason to be getting that worked up.

The same thing could be said for the other movies in this poll that are left, yet you don't see me lambasting Back to the Future for still being here. There's no point. Nobody's going to come into this thread and read your post and suddenly change their vote. People are simply picking between two movies until we're down to one film at the top. Thats it. Its nothing serious.
