I see after all these years that nothing has changed. Still making ****ty music.

They've been making crappy music since Travis joined the band imo.

Kind of like Trio and Derek Grant. Strangely enough they both play drums.

Trio's last album kind of brought me back. Goddammit and Maybe I'll Catch Fire are still great.

Hmm. The vocals and singing style/rhyme scheme seemed exactly cut from an A&A track. The music was definitely more organic which is Blinkish. I dunno.

Hmm maybe the intrusmental was so different from A&A that I didn't even notice that lol.

Criticize me liking the old stuff as some guy pissed about kids on my lawn (actually, it's just a **** load of deer using my property line as a highway) but "Josie" is arguably better than anything they've put out since...including "Dammit".

Probably my favorite Blink song...not as into their newer stuff. I know bands mature, but the sound is just not quite as good nowadays.

I hope to god that isn't an indicator of how the whole album is going to sound. I liked their last album so I don't mind them maturing, but that single is just bad.

I'm with you. Musically, their last album was light years beyond their early stuff, but this new single is just awful. I miss the fun-loving band they used to be. IMO, Tom's ego ruined the band more than anything else.

Pretty much my thoughts.

While their last album was more complex musically, I thought lyrically it lacked. They tried to write deeper and more meaningful songs, but it just came off as over their head and empty. I just don't think they have it in them.

I'm not saying they can't do it at all, but I don't think they can do it consistently.

However, it's been a long time since the dick and fart joke albums and I'm sure from a maturity stand point, they are past that.

I don't know... I saw their "reunion tour" they did in 2009, and my wife and I left early because of the dick and fart jokes. Funny banter in between songs is only funny when it's not in between every song.

Clearly you've never listened to The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show or you would've known to expect that.

No. I listened to them quite a bit, and expected that from their early stuff, but I wasn't expecting that from a couple of guys in their late 30's. Like I said, it wasn't the dick and fart jokes. It was the quantity. When I saw them in 2000, it was funny. In 2009, it wasn't.

You have grown and or matured and they havent plain and simple.
You have changed as a person and they are still the same as they were 10 years ago.
Its easy to not mature or grow older when you have millions in your bank account.
They are still young kids at heart and they always will be, again its who they are.

I've only listened to it straight through once, and It isn't bad, and while it seems they are trying to build upon the maturity of their last album before they broke up, I don't think it's nearly as good.
