    Electric Razor

I need a new electric razor, but to be honest I don't know which one to go with. Preferably I'd like to spend $100 at the most. Also, I've never tried in the shower but I'm not opposed to it. Any suggestions?

I use this one, it cleans its self and has a good battery.

Don't get one that shaves wet, you need the hair to be dry and standing up when you shave.

I've owned one of the top tier Braun ones with the cleaning base and it's been fantastic over the last three years. I've swapped the cutter and foil twice and have never had nicks and it gives a nice, close shave (granted I don't full face shave as I generally keep some facial hair).

The thing I like about it is it has one mode with the full flex head, and then one where it locks in place for those trouble spots. The cleaning system works great as well...though you do have to replace the liquid every two/three months.

EDIT: It's something similar to this one:

I have a panasonic wet/dry one now, and I've also liked the Braun ones. I have a big preference for the ones that just have the straight cutting edge, rather than the 3 circles. The 3 circles ones seem like crap to me and never do a good job.

Yup...I can't stand the three circles. In college I had a Norelco (the one with the shave gel built-in, LOL) and I always had a couple spots that were never smooth.

Same with me, 3 circles suck. The straight blade is better around the chin and under the jaw, those spots always wouldn't get cut close with the 3 circles.

I 2nd this one. I have an older model but basically the same thing. Been using mine for 3 years now with zero problems.

Thanks guys, I'll look into those Brauns. They seem quite expensive, but it's probably a good investment to make.

Also, I agree on the whole straight blade vs. 3 circles. I can't stand those circles.

I've had a Braun for three years now and eventhough they can be a bit more expensive they are definitely worth the price. It's been the best electric razor I've ever owned.

You can get older models much cheaper. I think I paid less than $100 on mine. Bought mine at BJ's which is like Sams or Costco.

                      Here is one for $125
