I'm pretty much limited to the 70's on and out of the choices none of them are very appealing.

This would be hard to choose. Each decade has its own pluses, but I guess I would pick the 60s for the cars.

No doubt man. There is no way I'd go any further than the 70's in this country as a black man, given the choice. That ish would've been a little too heavy for me. I cringe when I hear the horror stories from my parents and other older kinfolk and I liked them white girls when I younger. Bad business.

Still I'm satisfied with spending all of my teen years in the 90's. It was a great time for me. I'd do it all again.

That's exactly what I was thinking trobinson. I just didn't want to be the one to say it. I'm sorry but being sprayed with a firehose or being attacked by a German Shepard for no other reason than wanting my rights has a person just doesn't appeal to me.

The Govt. wasn't "controlling" the lifestyle, just the opposite. In the 50's a guy could have a regular job, his wife could stay home and raise the kids and they could even have a house. It was the federal government's massive growth and intrusion and heretofore unheard of oppressive tax burden that began the decline and destruction of the nuclear family and 2 parent homes. It was a more innocent, polite society, every decade had it's problems but to say it was government propaganda is totally off the mark.

People were happy that we had come out victorious in the great war and believed in the American Dream. So many heroic young men grateful to be alive and eager to settle down and have families, they saw the horrors of war, saw friends died and truly appreciated being alive. They didn't have the perpetually offended, victim mentality, woe is me era that we have in today's soft society who's idea of suffering is not having a plasma tv in every room.

The 80's were great, a renaissance of the celebration of capitalism and the American Dream, we had gotten through a horrid economic time of inflation, 23% interest rates, etc. People believed again, entrepreneurship soared, EVERY class and race of people improved their positions in life over that decade. People worked hard and played hard and were optimistic, the music reflected that, the 80's also had the distinction of the greatest percent of charitable contributions of any decade before or since. Calling it the "decade of greed" was a political statement that had nothing to do with reality, success is not greed, it was a great, great decade.

Not sure waht is so appealing about not bathing and doing drugs, but you could basically do that in any decade. Just if you did it in the 60's it was cool.

I have an interesting story about my neighbor who was murdered during a drug deal gone bad. He was 70 and retired.......Never really considered what happened to people who got hooked on drugs in the 60's and 70's and never got clean. There are probably more grandparents doing blow and acid then you ever imagined.

As a teenager in the 90's I would have liked to been a teen in the mid to late 80s, back when dancing was an exercise and not just simulated sex (there is nothing wrong with that though )

I would have loved to be an extra in House Party.
