So got my new HDTV, with a twist...

So I get to BB, ask for the Samsung for 899. SOLD OUT. Not cool... so I ask when it will be in. APRIL.

Time to start over and look for a different TV. Luckily they have the LG 50" Plasma for 999.99 (Still in my budget). The guy says they have two left, but I wanna check other stores real quick just to make sure I am making a good purchase. I end up back at BB about 2 and half hours later. Get the TV, my surround sound system and DirecTV HD box. I'm pretty excited and about to walk out with everything.

I pay and get handed my receipt, walk over to the entrance to wait for my TV to be brought out.

    ......

About 30 minutes later, a BB employee walks over to me and asks if I was the one who purchased the 50" LG Plasma, he proceeds to tell me that they don't have it and it has been sold already.

I kinda flip, swear a little. This is where everything turns around. The employee tells me that since they sold my TV they are going to give me the next model up. This TV: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218061797099

It's been in for almost 24 hours, and I still freak out every once in awhile at how crazy good the picture is. I feel like I walked out of BB with one helluva deal. What do you guys think?
I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Nice! I love it when stuff like that happens. At first you're pissed, then it's like "SWEET!".

Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
        Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
        Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

That is what is good about BB. I'm getting my set there or Sears next month.

Was the final price the original $899 or $999

Either way under a grand for a 50" plasma is a nice deal.

Earlier this week, Sears had the 42" Panny plasma for $599
