Just finished watching the movie, and i must say it was pretty darn good. I've had it for some time now and refused to watch it because it looked like another generic cop and corruption movie.
I watched We Own the Night when it came out and before watching this movie, thought it would of been in the same vain. I was partly right and wrong. It does have that whole family cop thing going on, but the movie goes a bit beyond that.
I know every cop in the world isn't perfect nor he or she corrupt, but this movie sure did make bad cops look really bad. Not sure where to go from here but to say, it has to be seen. It sort of sucks at it came out during a bad time and looked like another cop movie, but it was actually pretty frigging good.
If i had to pick between We Own the Night and this, i would chose Pride and Glory. It may not have been as action packed as We Own the Night, but it certainly did a good job on elaborating between the lines of good and evil.
