When was that interview? I've heard him say that, but I read an interview from a few months ago where he stated they weren't closing the door on a season 4 completely.
He said it depends on the writing and if it makes sense.
In a sense, I'm sad that this could be the final year, but it's refreshing to see a show end before it jumps the shark, and not try to get as much money as possible, *cough* Lost, The Office, *cough*.

Anyway, last nights episode was great. "Shane" rules!

Little fun fact.

They film some of the show in Wilmington, NC. I moved there over the summer and you can imagine my surprise when I saw this place.



No way I could afford a car, but I stopped there just for the nostalgia factor.
