Re: Michael Jackson Auctions Off Neverland Treasures
Michael must be struggggaling for cash. Sad, that he has turned out to be so bizarre. In his prime, he truly was the greatest entertainer to ever live.Comment

Re: Michael Jackson Auctions Off Neverland Treasures
Had you asked this question in 1987, you might have been especially prescient.
There was someone who broke into Neverland and took a bunch of creepy pictures of all the abandoned theme park rides...

Painting at the front gate... not creepy at all:

His story along with Mike Tyson makes me especially sad for some reason. His upbringing was horrible... I don't know if he actually abused any kids (I tend to think not actually), but his whole world was basically upside down from the time he was 4. Seeing Neverland in that state, filled with statues of happy children and families, fantasy worlds, and amusement park rides just paints a picture of a guy who longs for a childhood he never had... just a sad story.Last edited by Stumbleweed; 02-20-2009, 01:49 PM.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

I don't condone his actions, if he did in fact abuse children, but that's not the point I'm making here. I'm speaking about Michael the person, the dreamer. A man that just, for whatever reason, couldn't let go of attaining all that he never had.
Some people long for riches to escape the torment of their childhood. Michael longed for riches to find it."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
