    Back at the Barnyard

This is a Nickelodeon show that plays in the morning, I don't know what days. But anyway, of course with Nickelodeon's reputation, I ignored it forever and intended to as well.

Well this morning I was watching Spongebob (yes, I like that show) and left to take a shower with the TV still on. I came back in and noticed "that stupid barn show" was on, so I was ready to change it when suddenly they started parodying A Hard Day's Night. I thought it was actually pretty creative, so I sat down and watched the rest of the episode, only to chuckle a few times. I then saw the next episode and I thought, "Wow, this actually isn't bad."

I went to IMDb and noticed that it's created by Steve Oedekerk, and suddenly everything made sense.

Granted, it's no Spongebob nor is it a Pixar masterpiece, but I thought that this was actually a tolerable show that, if it's on again, I could force myself not to instantly change the channel. I'm not going to be scheduling this on my DVR or anything, but I think you may want to give this a chance.

Anyone else see this, or have kids that watch this? What are your impressions?

    How was the PQ?

I don't think I have watched Nickelodeon for a good 5 years or so.

I've seen it in passing once or twice. I don't think my kids like it too much, Carton Network is getting a lot more play these days, what with Ben 10 Alien Force, Transformers, Batman, Star Wars etc.

The Misadventures of Flap Jack, now that's a show lol.

I'm sorry, what I meant to say was that Nickelodeon, Disney, MTV, G4... etc., all of these channels have produced nothing but garbage over the past few years. Shows seem rushed out the door and the quality just isn't there these days, and they tend to target a demographic that I no longer seem to be involved in (and yes, I would still watch Hey Arnold and Rocket Power to this day if it were on).

LOL @ Rocket Power. Wow. I watched that show back in the day, but I had a feeling in the back of my head that it was trash.

I did to, but I became disenchanted after they started making Rocket Power movies... Haha

Nickoleodean hasnt been good since I was a kid, "You cant do that on Television" and the "3rd Eye" but I guess Im biased, everything was better as a kid. The only thing that hasnt changed on Nick is the green slime..

Nick has many fine programs. Fairly Odd Parents is hilarious. I even find Drake and Josh to have it's moments. My daughter loves the morning lineup and it's quality TV for young children.

Just because you may have outgrown something doesn't mean a network has a "reputation" for poor programming, it just isn't your cup of tea any more.

Like I said, I still love the shows now that I liked back then, including going way back to, say, My Brother & Me. It's just changed in general.

It's not too bad of a show.... but since Noggin is on 24/7 now, my kids watch that. They really like SpongeBob and would watch it in the morning before we left for daycare, but Noggin is where it is at (at least for my little one's) Yo Gabba Gabba FTW !!!
