New computer, what to look for

Ah yes, I had a thread like this a while back about a laptop, but now I am in the market for a new desktop. My old one bit the dust (or some think it needs either a new graphics card or power supply, but it's around 8 years old, so why not upgrade?)

I pretty much just browse the net, download music, hold my pics and I only play games like OOTP.

I would think something at least 3gb of ram or more and at least 500 gb hdd?

I just don't know anything when it talks about the core processor and other things.

If you guys could give me some ideas or lead me towards a few different ones, I would apprecaite it. I would to keep the cost $600 or less.

    Thanks,

    1. All are have dual core processors

    2. All have at least 4 gigs of memory

    3. All have a 500 gig hard drive.

    4. All are less than 500 dollars.

All include Vista Home Premium 64bit edition. More than powerful enough to suit your needs and 100 bucks less than your originally posted budget.

I would say that whatever you can afford.... make it non-Vista.
