Re: What is with people on YouTube, etc. retyping what was in the clip?
If you're watching something in the same room with a person, you can tell what a person's favorite part is by directly observing how they react, e.g. how hard they laugh, how loud they shout, etc.
You obviously can't do that with internet clips, so instead of ambiguously saying, "My favorite part of this clip is when Katt Williams is talking to his kid about the cereal." You just quote the clip. "n***a they damn sure aint up here, them mutha ****in insurgents dun come in my house and stole..."

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

This. Not a big deal to me.If you're watching something in the same room with a person, you can tell what a person's favorite part is by directly observing how they react, e.g. how hard they laugh, how loud they shout, etc.

Yeah this doesn't bother me much. I've been watching some Sanford and Son episodes (hopefully the account doesn't go bye bye) and that's what most of the commentators do. I don't mind it too much. I also had no idea the woman that played Willona Woods on GOOD TIMES did a guest appearance on that show.If you're watching something in the same room with a person, you can tell what a person's favorite part is by directly observing how they react, e.g. how hard they laugh, how loud they shout, etc.

The one with Willona is one of my favorite episodes. Then again most of the stuff from that season was good.Yeah this doesn't bother me much. It's more annoying when people repeat lines of a movie you are watching in person right after they happen, as if they think you didn't just hear it yourself.Comment

What I don't understand is why sitcoms have a laughtrack during "funny" moments. If the part is funny, we will laugh. We don't need something to tell us when we're supposed to laugh.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I think with that, laughter is a bit contageous. Some TV shows need the help, others don't.
As far as my OP, ok I admit it, it bugs the **** outta me. I don't need someone retyping (or if in the room, repeating) a funny line.Comment
