Actually, I believe there are already about 30+ reviews that are out now, all which will be "fresh" on the Tomatometer, but they have yet to be counted. So it seems to be starting off strong; I expect this movie to be great.

Oh, and apparently Access Hollywood spoils the ending for Inception. I don't know if they do it in a review or what, but I would avoid anything when it comes to putting the two entities together.

Maybe I missed something but when did Nolan become the next Scorcese. He's a talented director but my goodness, some of you are acting as if he's God gift.

I am interested in this simply for the fact that Leo chose it. Dude hasn't had many miscues in his career.

Nolan has really been building steam as a director.

Movies he has directed in the last ten years:
        Memento
        Insomnia
        Batman Begins
        The Prestige
        The Dark Knight

Those are all very good films IMO.

Have you watched more than his Batman movies? Memento is one of my favorite films of all time.

Because I do think he really is freakin' amazing. Loved all of his movies. TDK is my favorite movie. The Prestige was very good, and Memento was great as well. He just makes great films, and he has been doing it consistently to start his career.

Re: Christopher Nolan + DiCaprio = Inception

yeah, Memento, The Dark Knight, and The Prestige are 3 of my favorite movies to come out in the last 10 years (or really, of all time for that matter)

and Batman Begins is great as well (it often gets overlooked for how good it was because of TDK, but it really was an impressive feat)

have yet to see Insomnia, from what I've heard it was a bit underwhelming (compared to his other stuff), but I'll see it eventually and i'm sure I'll enjoy it (even if it isn't as good as the others)

so even ignoring the batman stuff, Memento and The Prestige are two incredibly original fantastic films... combine that with the fact that Leo has a knack for picking good roles and the premise of the movie, and you have the makings of something that has the potential to be original and very very good (and therefore I am highly anticipating)

Insomnia comes out on blu-ray next week. Just a heads up.

Went to three stores today looking to buy Memento and Insomnia.

Couldn't find either. Ended up picking up six other movies I've been meaning to add to my collection for about 50 bucks.

Scorsese is unquestionably one of THE giants when comes to directing, but as of today, I would choose to see a Nolan film before a Scorsese film. I prefer what he brings to the table thematically and stylistically

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

i've seen bits and pieces of the prestige but the batman films are the only one's i've watched beginning to end. I'm familiar with all of his other work, but like i said it seems that i have been missing out. which of those films should i check out first?

Since what you've heard has been underwhelming, I'll give my opinion. If Nolan retired today and Inception isn't a masterpiece, 50 years from now I think Insomnia would be considered his best film. It has the most fully-fleshed out story and characters and he uses natural scenery very effectively. These are the kinds of things that hold up over time. Also, it's one of the best cat-and-mouse cop thrillers I've seen and doubles as a morality tale.

If you haven't seen his non-batman work you are most DEFINITELY missing out. The prestige, and memento are must sees IMO.

The film is so far scoring heavy early at Rotten Tomatoes, with a 91% based on 36 reviews.

                                One reviewer quote:
A film erupting with ideas, ambition and intelligence, one that credits the viewer with the capacity for some mental heavy lifting.
