It was around 4:30am on Thanksgiving morning, a hot girl comes in and for all we know she was initiating this and invited them to take pictures. It isn't like they were letting her play with their guns (pun intended).

Yeah, but it's still not appropriate for their job location. I agree that she was willing and whatnot, but they need to show more restraint and be professional.

I see both sides, but in the end it's just not professional...

I do wonder how this even became a big deal though...I would figure that it'd just be ignored and be fine (that's what I'd do). But now that (somehow) it's a big deal in the news, they have to enforce the rules. One of those where I'd look the other way, but when the ish hits the fan they're screwed.

I agree with that and the suspensions were a just punishment, but termination of one officer and what I can only believe was a forced resignation of a second officer was too much for this incident.

Fair enough point, but that is where I would expect the journalist to make that clear. I would also say it would be just if it was a newbie cop still in his probation period.

Yeah...they should get in trouble, but not fired...I wouldn't ruin someone's life over this.

No, I think it was in Elkhart, IN, which is near South Bend. Logo showing up a couple of times was WNDU, which is a South Bend station.

ummm, they were cops on duty taking advantage of a drunk girl. Pretty sad IMO. One guy even pulled up her skirt.
