Actually it isn't unless you're referring to the season 1 and 2 theme which was "rock around the clock". The more familiar Happy Days theme was recorded just for the show and wasn't a "real song" so to speak.

After listening to 30 or so theme songs (even listened to the ones not embedded or linked such as Hogans Heroes, Cheers, and All in The Family) I found most of them to be pretty bad (what's with the cartoons?). My favorites, which mean absolutely nothing:

1. Cheers- A+
2. Dallas- A
3. Greatest American Hero- B+
4. Drew Carey- B
5. 227, WKRP, Fresh Prince, Hogans Heroes tied at C+

I know this thread just started but I almost started crying. All those great shows that I grew up watching. Man, was it the theme music or just the art in which the shows grasped your mind? All of those great shows. I'm tossing The Wonder Years myself. Man, I definitely forgot about WKRP in CIN..CI...NAAAATTII......I miss the classics

This is a little out of bounds because the lyrics change every week but Hank Williams Jr's "are you ready for some football" is hands down the 2nd greatest sports theme ever. (First goes to the Heavy Action instrumental also for MNF)

Anyways I found the best ever rendition of the song. This is for the start of MNF's 25th year

The first part is really stupid but once the song kicks in, HOO BOY is it a dandy!
