    Virus question

    Anyone know what this is?

    File "C:\WINNT\system32\mlaioa.wy" belongs to virus/spyware Mal/Conficker-A.
It somehow got downloaded onto my job's computer system. The IT guys have been working on it for 16 hrs now & can't get rid of it. I'm just curious.

      Re: Virus question

Looks like Symantec developed a removal tool for it. If it were me I would boot up into safe mode and try Symantecs tool and then run Malwarebytes and AVG.The variant I read about replicates to other pcs to it has potential to be a big pest.
