Computer Processor Question (Intel vs. AMD)

I am deciding between two computers which are similar in about every way except their processor. Both have 320 GB hard drives and 3 GB Ram.

One has the Intel Core 2 Duo Porcessor T6400 (2.0 GHz) and the other has an AMD Turion X2 RM-72 Dual Core Mobile Processor (2.1GHz).

I've googled the hell out of these two, but can't find any direct comparrisons and don't know enough about the spec's to make any determiniation.

I'm looking for a pretty generic computer to handle email, office and few other simple programs. No gaming and nothing more complex than Photoshop.

Any insight from someone with knowledge would be appreciated

    Thanks!

The Intel. Their performance would probably be similar in most situations such as word processors, internet, etc, but the Intel will separate itself from the AMD when it comes to video editing, and large filter applications in Photoshop.

Thanks....are those two the comparable models/class for each company?

Kinda. Except I think the lowest T6 series you can get is the 6400, and the RM-72 has a lower model, the RM-70, both are the budget cpu family.. Either way, Intel has really taken it to AMD since the Core 2's came out, and it would be hard to find an AMD machine in equal performance for equal money now.
