Thought it was good, nice closure on all avenues...BUT, what the hell was in the package that Jill dropped off at the hospital. Ugh, why keep it going, everything else was so nicely cleaned up.

The twist per say, was terrible IMO. Saw both of them from the very beginning. First time I think I've seen a Saw film and realized the twists so early on. Very disappointing in that aspect of the writing. Did love cleaning up the letter from Saw 3, the reasoning behind the doctor getting shot, etc.

Also, the first "trap", I thought was terrible, almost unwatchable. Gore doesn't bother me, but excessive like that for no reason is just plain useless to me in a film. The first scene was something that didn't even fit, other than for a laugh at the current economy.

Since Saw VII is green lit and due to start filming early 2010, one has to think they will continue with Hoffman as the killer, but hunting down Jill as well.

Also hopefully answering the package, but I'm sure a new question will be brought up. I guess that's where my issues start to lie, it's becoming an episode of Lost every year, some questions answered, more asked.

I'm sorry, but you can't use Jigsaw memories forever, the guy has been dead movie wise since the end of 3 (he really wasn't dead in 4 obviously). So 5 and 6 have went with the whole "dead" thing. In realizing that 5 and 6 both had to happen pretty much in the same few month timeframe, I really don't know where you go from here.

And oh yeah, the Strahm thing..come on, that was terrible. As a detective, Hoffman should be a little more intelligent on these things.

It was good, but down near 2 for me on the scale of best Saw films. Nothing terrible, but nothing great.

As for the package, one can only assume they're once again referring to Lawrence Gordon in one way or another. It just has to be. Only time will tell when they finally reach the point that he's actually alive.

This twist was one of my favorites, but it's very hard to explain. The thing of it is, the movie had so many twists here and there (from Perez being alive to Hoffman surviving the reverse bear trap). But my favorite twist, which I think was the biggest one IMO, was the fact that it wasn't William's game at all. It was the mother and son's game of forgiveness, much like Saw III. The only issue is that they don't delve into those characters, their personality, what they see and how they feel about the events they see on the monitors, etc. I could spell it all out for you and say how it impacted me greatly (looking into William's apologetic eyes and the pain and sorrow he felt for the loss of their family member while having to endure much pain himself). I thought it was very nice... if only they sort of had more scenes with those two is all.

First trap was gruesome, but unfortunately was in a comedic fashion. Same with the carousel trap, probably my favorite in the movie... destroyed by how the last guy was saying his final words. It was otherwise a nice emotional ride (no pun intended).

I just don't like the idea of Saw VII here. It doesn't seem like Jigsaw had anymore plans after Hoffman which means he hasn't designed any other games, and him chasing Jill will just be some other cat-and-mouse game that I'm not too interested in. You're right... Jigsaw died at the end of Saw III and we've devoted three more movies (essentially) to postmortem ideologies and plot derivations. Going so far from what the original trilogy established almost takes away the power from the first three movies, which is partly why I don't want the series to continue. Had William survived and Hoffman died, I'd say that would have been a perfect wrap up, regardless of that package delivery from Jill.

The only real issue I had with the movie, which I can't blame this one for as much as Saw V, is there's still no real explanation for the Fatal Five game (the people in the sewers in Saw V). What was their ultimate connection with the rest of the series? If it's that they burned the Saw II house, there was no verification of that. Just kind of pissed me off that most of Saw V was kind of for nothing. If they're waiting for Saw VII to explain it, it's just kind of weird that they gave no mention to the people at all whatsoever.

I read today this movie didn't do too well in the box office, Paranormal Activity owned them. It was the worse any Saw movie has ever done, but one of the best ones made IMO. Hopefully they continue the series, I love the SAW series.

I love this series, but I really hope it starts winding down. One every year is starting to become overkill.

I had a horrible experience with an insurance company so I was really happy to see Jigsaw deliver his version of justice. I had no idea how they would fit Jigsaw into Saw 6 but they still found a way to give him a lot of screentime and everything still made sense. The pacing of the film was excellent. There wasn't any filler.

I loved the merry go round trap and to see the employees turn on each other was awesome. "I'm pregnant".

IMO Jigsaw is one of the best movie characters of all-time. I view him as the good guy in all of the films. I'm surprised nobody has tried to copy Jigsaw in real life.

I didn't say I liked the twist that it wasn't his family, I liked the twist that it wasn't his game. At the end, this game wasn't his... something was decided for his fate, not the other way around. And it was the end ultimate goal. He was destined to make it all the way through (out-breathing a smoker, a couple of inflictions here and there that were also not required sacrifices), but in the end there was one ultimate thing we assumed he would have had to do, and it was all up to the mother and son. It was a game of forgiveness. That partly ties in with the other twist because he didn't help out their family, but you know.

Oh, and the hospital was different. The first few movies show Angel of Mercy Hospital. This was St. Eustace Hospital. Just throwing that out there.

I finally got a chance to see SAW VI today through other means. I hope to get to a theater within the next week or two to see this.......it's something I want to see in the theater.

WOW! is all I kept on thinking after watching this film. I didn't get that feeling that I had when the first trilogy was wrapped up, but I think they had a good opportunity to wrap this up with this one. They decided to leave things open for a seventh one. It was rather neat and genius of Hoffman to break out of that trap at the end...........but, why? Do I really want to see Hoffman chasing after Jill in SAW VII or maybe Jill putting Hoffman through a game especially when Perez mentions to Hoffman that everyone knows that he is the killer.

I did enjoy this film a lot, I just dislike that they left too many things open considering that they could have wrapped things up here. The twist with the 6th envelope having a picture of Hoffman in it was really cool. That I did not expect one bit. The sequences with Amanda really helped add to the story and even better with Hoffman framing her for the death of Jill's/Jig's baby. It was just a nutty scene to see that happen.

I know I am all over the place here with my thoughts, but I'm letting them pour while they are fresh.

The traps were much better this time around, but to me the last 3 films just were not about the traps and more of it had to do with the story being told. The trap at the beginning of the film was insane and gruesome to the next level. Watching that one chick first start chopping away at her fingers and then taking off the whole arm was intense. It was like a holy **** moment.

I did find them relying way too much on flashbacks which was a tad bit overkill. Really the only way for them to fit new things into the story.

In the end I really hope that this film overall does bad at the box office since I really don't want to see a SAW VII just for the sake of making another one yet in 3D. Why not create a new franchise called SAW Chronicles or something.
