Throw Momma from the Train (1987)

I got to see this movie again and again recently since they've been airing it here several times and I can always watch it again. Such a funny movie, classic!

It was a great pairing, but I've always thought of it as overrated and missing out on some great lines. There are a few good scenes though. I thought Crystal and Gregory Hines in "Running Scared" was a better pairing and actually a funnier movie and wished they had done a follow up movie as was the 80's trend.

I watched that movie originally YEARS ago when it first came out and hadn't seen it again until about a couple years ago. The movie was even better then I remembered. I gotta say I love the script and story to the movie a lot as it's a lampooning of something you'd get from early Hitchcock. As for "Momma" I was a bit scared of her as a kid probably because she was also in The Goonies.

Funny thing happened yesterday: I was watching Alf (they're airing it all over again here) and guess who was the guest star? Anne Ramsey, The lady who was Owen's Momma. And if you think Owen's mom was sacry, you should have watched that Alf episode...man! LOL but she was a great actress, RIP.

And yeah, She was the criminals' mom in The Goonies.

^^ I love the end of that scene - her walk when she goes away (0:56)

This movie should have been labeled "Psycho 2".

EDIT: Hey! You editted the post and changed the vid

Quote from the Office Summer Webisode a few years back that I was reminded of:

"Saw Ratatouille, walked out of it, didn't buy it. Jane made me watch "Y Tu Mama Tambien", which means "Throw Mama from the Tambien". Liked Ratatouille better." - Michael Scott

                        Man I love the Office.
