Hurt - Goodbye To The Machine

The album just came out yesterday, and i'll be damned if Hurt didn't put out yet another fantastic album. In my opinion, these guys, despite being fairly unknown amongst the masses, put out the best rock music you can find. Out of all three albums now (Volume I, Volume II, and GTTM), not one song sounds similar to another, and all three CD's offer something different while still maintaining the same quality. Highly recommend this album, along with Vol. I and II. My favorites off this album are "World Ain't Right", "Pills", "Dreams Away", and "Fighting Tao". Go out and buy this album!

Yeah, I love Hurt and they are easily in my top 5 right now in terms of current bands. There just seems to always be so much emotion put into every song and they all seem to be so well crafted, from The Re-Consumation to, now, Goodbye To The Machine

And I absolutely love the hidden track, lol

Haha, right on man. "CAUSE WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!"

Definitely agree on how much emotion is put into each song. First time I listened to Volume II and heard "Alone With The Sea", I was awestruck.

Well I can certainly credit you for turning me on to them thanks to the unknown/unsigned band thread I made a while back....

I finally found the CD today. I tried getting it on Tuesday, but Best Buy, Target, and FYE didn't have any in stock. I don't know if it sold out or if they just didn't have them(they had spots for the CD)...

But I found it today at a small CD place. Gave it one listen so far, it's pretty good. First half of the CD I was kinda mixed on, I liked the third and fourth tracks though. The second half was excellent. They seem to be branching out more with this CD, which is nice to see. That being said, I don't think I like it quite as much as Volume II, which was almost a perfect album, IMO.

Hurt's a great band. Too bad they don't get the exposure they deserve.

Same with bjf, i've got you to thank for getting me hooked on these guys. Probably my favorite band of the last 10 years, as Vol. I and II are possibly my two favorite albums (along with Strata's "The End Of The World).

Currently, I haven't taken this CD out once so I picked it up, and it's growing on me even more.
